Prater enters his second season with the Boomers after starting at three different positions in his rookie year. The Georgia native played 65 games and hit .312 with a homer, 37 RBIs and 14 stolen bases. Prater tallied nine bunt singles and logged an on-base percentage of .368. A five-year starter at Western Carolina, Prater played in 225 games, eighth in program history, and was a two-time all-conference selection who boasted a .325 career average.
