Derek joined the organization in 2021 as a seasonal employee and began full-time in September 2023. He attended Loras College, where he obtained a degree in sports management and was a member of the Cross-Country and Track team, placing third as a team at the 2023 Indoor National Championships. Derek enjoys going to various MLB stadiums. He has been to 21 out of the 30 ballparks.
