Boomers Bring Back Veteran; Sign Brewers Prospect

Manager Jamie Bennett has added 2 more pieces to the 2025 season roster. Veteran LHP Antonio Frias returns and Catcher Satchell Norman joins the Boomers for his first year in Schaumburg.
Antonio Frias returns to Schaumburg for his 3 seasons with the Boomers. Frias originally from Panama City, Panama, has spent the last 2 summers in Schaumburg after playing collegiately at Faulkner University and spending time in the Mexican League. Last season with the Boomers, Frias posted a record of 2-2 in seven appearances after signing at the end of July. In those seven starts, Antonio struck out 42 batters and had an ERA of 5.82 across 38 innings.
Satchell Norman joins the Boomers after spending the past 2 seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers minor league system. Satchell, who is a native of Sarasota, FL, was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 15th round (pick 462) of the 2022 MLB draft. Satchell was a two-time Rawlings All-American in high school at Sarasota High before playing one year at Florida Southwestern State College. At FSW, Satchell batted .376 with 10 HR and 47 RBI's. Norman made it as high as the Carolina Mudcats (A). In his minor league career, Satchell batted .259 with 3 HR and 29 RBIs in 74 games.
