Boomers Postponed in Rockford

LOVES PARK, Ill. — The Schaumburg Boomers were rained out at Rockford on Sunday evening in a scheduled contest with the RiverHawks.
Due to the proximity of both teams, who are an hour apart and commute to each other for contests, and with a mutual off-day on Monday, the teams will meet at 6:05 p.m. for a scheduled nine-inning game despite the fact that Sunday was the final meeting of the year between the two teams. The pitching matchup will feature LHP Cameron Roth (8-8, 3.38) on the hill for the Boomers opposite RHP Cody Hallahan (5-8, 4.40).
The rainout marked the second of the season for the Boomers (51-38), who are in a fight with six teams for one of the Frontier League's final three playoff slots over the season's last week!
