Boomers Blanked in Series Finale

FLORENCE, Ky. - The Schaumburg Boomers were shutout 3-0 by the Florence Freedom in the finale of a six-game roadtrip Thursday evening.
Schaumburg starter Robby Donovan (7-4) retired the first 10 batters of the game and did not allow a hit until the fifth inning. Florence posted three RBI doubles in the fifth to take a 3-0 lead as Junior Arrojo, Jim Jacquot, and John Malloy all built the lead. The three runs were plenty for starter Brandon Mathes (2-0).
