All-Star LHP Re-Signs

Manager Jamie Bennett and the Schaumburg Boomers are excited to announce the re-signing of LHP Kobey Schlotman. Kobey was a 2023 All-star for the Boomers before an injury ended his season. Kobey missed the entire 2024 season recovering from that injury.

Schlotman returns to the mound for the Boomers after posting a 6-5 record with an ERA of 3.55 during the 2023 campaign. Kobey, who is from Coralville, IA, started 14 games during the 2023 season striking out 58 batters and walking 25. The 2022 season was Kobey's first with the team and he impressed with a 4-3 record, striking out 48 batters and walking only 13. Prior to arriving in Schaumburg, Kobey attended Mount Mercy University and played two seasons for the Mustangs.

Manager Jamie Bennett had this to say when asked about what re-signing Kobey meant for the 2025 season; "I am excited for Kobey to get back on the mound as I am for the Boomers to have him back. Kobey has proven himself as a competitor in the league, and I know he has worked very hard to get himself back to being ready for 2025.

If you want to catch Kobey and the rest of the team in action this summer, Ticket Packages and Season Tickets are on sale now. For more information, please call 847-461-3695 to speak to a representative or email the Boomers at [email protected]
