Boomers Add Depth to Bullpen
Manager Jamie Bennett continues to add depth to the pitching rotation with the signing of RHP Dallas Woolfolk. Dallas is the second pitcher this week to sign with the Boomers after Cole Cook signed earlier in the week. Dallas looks to add depth to the back end of the bullpen for the 2024 season.
Dallas comes to Schaumburg after spending four seasons in the Oakland Athletics organization. Dallas was a 13th round draft pick in the 2018 MLB Draft from Ole Miss. Woolfolk, originally from Hernando, MS, spent time between Rookie League and Single A, with the Stockton Ports. Dallas appeared in 60 games for the Ports over two seasons compiling a record of 2-6 with 3 saves. During those two seasons, Woolfolk struck out 81 batters and walked 60 batters. For his career with the A’s, Dallas posted a record of 4-7 with over 106 innings with 105 strikeouts while primarily coming out of the bullpen.
Prior to his time with the A’s, Dallas pitched for the Ole Miss Rebels in the Southeastern Conference for 3 years. In those 3 seasons, Dallas posted a record of 5-2 with an ERA of 2.33 and 19 saves. Over the course of 60 games, Woolfolk struck out 65 batters in 69 innings while only walking 18 batters.
