Manager Jamie Bennett and the Schaumburg Boomers have re-signed OF Blake Berry for the 2024 season. Blake Berry joined the team during the middle of the 2022 season and was the everyday left fielder for the Boomers in 2023.

Blake Berry returns for his third season with the Boomers after a solid 2023 where he played in 87 games, batting .283. Blake, a native of Irvine, CA, hit 4 home runs with 50 RBI's. Berry keen eye at the plate led him to drawing 56 walks, good for 12 in the league. Berry also had 8 sacrifice flys, which put him number 3 in the league in that category as well. Berry looks to provide a veteran presence in the outfield along with Brett Milazzo this upcoming season. Prior to arriving in Schaumburg in 2022, Blake made professional stops in Quebec and Lake Country of the American Associationn in 2022, the Houston Apollos in 2021, and Tucson Saguaros in 2020. Blake played his collegiate ball at Bellevue University and San Jose State University.
