Veteran Leader Returns to Wintrust Field for 2024
The Schaumburg Boomers and Manager Jamie Bennett are thrilled to announce the re-signing of OF Brett Milazzo for the 2024 season. Brett has been a big part of the Boomers since his arrival in 2021.
Milazzo returns to the Boomers after another strong season at the plate and in the field for the Boomers. Brett appeared in 78 games for the Boomers, batting .300 with 5 home runs and driving in 44 runs. Brett found his way on base by drawing 42 walks and 14 HBP’s. Once on base, Brett swiped 23 bases while only getting caught 4 times. He had the 15th best On Base Percentage of .413. In the field, Brett had a fielding percentage of .995, only committing 1 error all season in 195 chances.
Manager Jamie Bennett has this to say about Brett Milazzo. "I'm excited to have Brett back with us for another season. He is a dynamic player on offense and defense with difference making speed. He is a great teammate and the kind of guy every manager likes to have in the clubhouse."
For his career in Schaumburg, Brett has a career batting average of .283 with 9 home runs and 94 RBI’s. He also has 63 stolen bases in that time frame. Brett has used his speed tracking down balls in the outfield and has only committed 5 errors in his career with the Boomers.
