Bennett Adds to 2023 Roster
The Schaumburg Boomers and Manager Jamie Bennett have added to the 2023 roster with the new additions of RHP Ben Strahm and INF Travis Holt.
Ben Strahm comes to the Boomers after time in multiple MLB Partner Leagues. Most recently, the West Fargo, ND native played for the Northern Colorado Owls in the Pioneer League. Strahm had a 2.84 ERA in 5 appearances out of the bullpen. Ben looks to be another piece in the Boomers bullpen this season.
Travis Holt comes to the Boomers out of the MLB Draft League in 2022. Holt, an infielder, batted .293 with 27 RBIs in 60 games with the Williamsport Crosscutters. Prior to his time with the Crosscutters, Travis played his college ball at High Point University for 4 seasons before transferring to Butler for his final season in 2022. At HPU, Holt hit for .291 with 8 homeruns and 79 RBI’s. In his one season at Butler, the Florida native batted .309 with 5 homeruns 19 steals on the season.
