Bennett Adds Speedster to Roster
Schaumburg, IL - The Schaumburg Boomers have acquired centerfielder Thomas DeBonville from the Idaho Falls Chukars via trade. DeBonville is set to join Chase Dawson and Brett Milazzo in the outfield for the Boomers during the 2022 season.
DeBonville will be joining the Schaumburg Boomers for the first time in his career. DeBonville played two seasons for the University of Nebraska - Omaha Mavericks baseball team. For the Mavericks, DeBonville batted .266 with an on-base percentage of .329 in 102 games. During the 2021 season, DeBonville played for the Idaho Falls Chukars, where he batted .336 with 12 home runs, while amassing 26 stolen bases.
“Thomas will be very nice addition to this ball club. He’s an extremely athletic kid that can do a lot of things both offensively and defensively. Guys like that bring something everyday that can help you win a ball game,” said Manager Jamie Bennett.
The Boomers return home to Wintrust Field in the spring looking to defend their 2021 Frontier League Championship.
