Boomers Re-Sign Scott
Schaumburg, IL - The Schaumburg Boomers have re-signed reliever Kristian Scott. The reliever is set to return for his second season with the Boomers.
The Boomers acquired Scott during the 2021 season after starting the season with the Gary Southshore RailCats in Gary, IN. Scott appeared in 21 games and innings (24.1) with a 6.29 ERA and 15 strikeouts for the Boomers. Scott will join other fellow re-signed teammates on Bennet’s pitching staff for the 2022 season.
“I’m very excited to have Kristian back with us. Kristian has a live arm and a high upside. I really feel like he started to come into his own as a pitcher towards the end of last season so we are very excited to see that progress continue” said Manager Jamie Bennett.
The native out of Glendora, CA, started his college athletic career at Citrus Community College, where he played two seasons. In the two seasons for the Owls baseball team, he appeared in six games where he recorded a 7.20 ERA with ten strikeouts in ten innings. Scott then went on to play two seasons at California State University-Chico as a part of the Wildcats baseball team. In those two seasons, he appeared in 13 games where he recorded a 1.69 ERA to go along with 11 strikeouts in 16 innings pitched.
The Boomers return home to Wintrust Field in the spring looking to defend their 2021 Frontier League Championship.
